This Ankora Wall was constructed alongside Mt. Lehman Road in Abbotsford, B.C. The project spans of 10,000 square feet and is 14 feet tall. Ankora was the best solution for this project because of the proximity to Mt Lehman Road.
A traditional retaining wall would require the wall to be moved into the building site, which would cause the building to be smaller. With Ankora’s unique environmentally friendly design it eliminates geo grid, significantly reducing excavation and backfill. Eliminating geogrid means future utilities on the city side would not intrude into the gridded soil lines and achieved a design that was tight to property lines. This gave the client the most efficient use of their property without taking valuable square footage away.
