Ankora Retaining Wall was best suited for this property because of its location next to Highway 1 with strict property lines. If a traditional MSE wall had been used, the owner of the property would have had to reduce the size of the industrial building by 15% because of grid lines. Due to the location, the Canadian Ministry of Transport sets very strict rules regarding encroachment. With the unique design of the Ankora Retaining Wall System, the wall was constructed right up to the property line because there is no geogrid involved, which reduced excavation. Ankora Wall maximized the footprint of the building without encroaching on the Ministry of Transport’s property.
