Ankora Retaining Wall system was the only retaining wall appropriate for the plot of land located in Langford, B.C. With the use of Ankora, our client saved 50% and added an overall 2 acres of sellable land. Due to the rocky landscape, it would have cost more money to install any other type of MSE wall due to the blasting of the rock. The combination of the use of the base plate and the cast-in-place graded beam, we can make the retaining wall design meet the design requirements. With Ankora’s unique design, cutting out geogrid meant minimal blasting and the construction time of the project was reduced by 5 months, which allowed the construction of the building to start earlier.
